Collins apparently got pissed and came up with this stuff, which closely approximates the original NovaMin. You can still find it over the pond in the version of Sensodyne Repair & Protect that's made for the UK market. Glaxo-SmithKline bough the US patent for it back in 2012 and pulled the paste from the market, so now they're the only ones with the ability to create products with the stuff and they refuse to. Edited to add: I'm using CariFree's CTx4 toothpaste right now and I really like it! And it comes in grape flavor! Amazing for sensitivity. Found in CariFree (US), Apagard Premio (Japan) and Biorepair (Italy) toothpastes, and in Remin Pro treatment paste (applied just like the MI paste). Great for reducing sensitivity (am currently using toothpaste with it, can confirm). I am thinking about trying the MI paste again but it does have this dairy component in it, however I feel like its such small amount it might not trigger anything? People with lactose intolerances use this and it doesn't bother them. I tried oil pulling but that doesn't help, and there are many products on the market that are really great but I cannot have menthol, eucalyptus, or mint which all of them have. Now with my new diagnosis of lupus, despite my best efforts to keep my mouth clean, I got two small cavities and my gums were very inflamed. I finished the bottle and got out of habit and a few years went by. I used MI paste a couple years ago and my teeth were always in excellent condition, less sensitivity, healthy gums, no cavities.
